Appreciation

My entire life we have had my Mom's bright orange table in our house (or each of our homes). I did not like the orange table. Why would my Mother buy an orange table? It must have been a '70s thing.

Now that I'm older, wiser, more mature I found myself thinking of the orange table. That orange table would look darn good in my new apartment.

When I asked my Mom if I could borrow the orange table she said yes on one condition, I never bring it home. Dad pulled it out of the guest cottage (which is the family storage unit) and brought it down.

It's dirty and a little faded but it's here. and it's orange.

Disneyland

We had a work outing for Disneyland Thursday June 30th.

Here is our schedule:
4:45pm – Limo’s are outside OMD for pick
6:00pm – Limo’s arrive at Grand California Hotel
6:30pm – Group arrives to Aladdin; Mickey Photo Opportunity; Cheese Display & Bar Open
7:00pm – Dinner Buffet Begins
8:30pm – Bar & Buffet Close
9:00pm – Plaza Inn for premium fireworks viewing
9:45pm – Fireworks end
10pm - Fast passes for 2 attractions
10:30pm – Free to enjoy the park
11:45pm- Everyone heads back to Plaza Inn so that we all walk out of the park together

The service was fantastic, the VIP experience amazing, I'll never be able to go back to regular Disneyland.

Ikea Trip

Went to look at rugs at Ikea on a Friday at 4PM. Yes that's right the 405 South on a Friday during rush hour. The freeway was a mess but Ikea was empty.

I found 2 rugs and got a little workout in.

Moving on Up

Well I FINALLY moved. I started looking in November but didn't find a good place until May. Devon showed you all photos of my old place that was a little cave. I'm happy to be out of my cave.

I'm still decorating so I'll show you the empty apartment photos. I'll get you updates as the place gets filled in. You might just have to show up on my doorstep if you want to see the whole thing :)

Yoga in a Yurt

Sunday the 12th of June I headed to Malibu for an afternoon yoga retreat.

The yoga crew (Josh, Essly, Liz and I) had asked one of our favorite yoga teachers to do a private session with us. We were looking to take our practice to the next level. How LA do I sound?? Anyways Dan (instructor) found us this amazing spot in Malibu, the Udaya retreat. It's this gorgeous house in the Malibu canyons with a pool and a yurt in the back. Yup Yurt.

Dan's wife Leslie is a vegan chef so for a few extra $$ she agreed to make us a feast.

Doesn't this sound amazing?

Well it was. 2 1/2 hours of yoga with good friends. A dip in the hot tub and pool. Delicious vegan goodness for dinner.
