The reason for this particular gift is that my Mom has a gorgeous gold bracelet her parents gave her for her 16th birthday. I love that she wears it everyday and I'm sure makes her think of her parents. So for my 21st birthday I asked for a nice piece of jewelery from my parents. They gave me a gorgeous ring that I wear all the time (or when I remember to put it on). For the big 3-0 Mom asked what I wanted and I said earrings.
You all know the rest of the story with her flying down for a few hours to pick them out. Spending the afternoon with her was probably just as special to me as the actual gift (all together now ahhhh).
So anyways here they are. My big 3-0 gift from Mom and Dad.
And yes you have to say big 3-0. It's not 30 it's the big 3-0. Got that Kasahara?
