Holiday Fun Time

SOL Holidays in brief 'cause there is way too much to write about:

12/20 - Office holiday party. It was definitely an R rated party but a good R rated party! On a separte note altogether...My secret santa gave me everything I wanted and more! Which means I asked for lotto tickets and I actually won money!

12/21 - Recover from office party. The whole office was dragging on Friday!

12/22 - went in for my pre-op appt but my eyes were too irritated to complete. I hit the gym, went home and took a bath, then packed and went to the airport to find a monstrous line waiting for me at LAX. Caught my flight up to SFO and found the Porths waiting for me. Yay Porths! We had a great night eating Mexican food in the Mission and ice cream farther into the Mission. Jonah and I both have latino bones so we felt right at home. Once home Jonah and I did yoga together before bed time. I should clarify that he's 2 1/2 and only knew one pose but had about 5 names for it. It was quite fun. I didn't make it out to see my old friend Dan Wire that night but not for lack of trying!

12/23 - Abby, Jason and I went for a nice long walk at Fort Funston. It was gorgeous! Blue skies, ocean views, dogs EVERYWHERE! So so so fun. We raced home to dress for our big linner/dunch with the rest of Abby's family, the Michelsons and Bergson Michelsons.

For those of you who don't know Harmon Michelson is my Dad's good friend from medical school. Lyman and Michelson were next to each other (alphabetical order and all) for most of their classes. The two men are both color blind so chemistry was interesting but both graduated and are successful physicians. Harmon's career highlight was delivering me in 1979. He still gets teary talking about it.

We had a great dinner with Abby (Harmon's daughter) and her family and Nathaniel (Harmon's son) and his family. My parents drove down to join us and then took me straight home to Sacramento. Blake was on a man trip to Bodega Bay to hunt for crabs in the great Pacific Ocean. It was very manly.

12/24 - hit the shops to get gifts for the family. had our annual dinner with the pomers/longs before christmas eve service.

while we were waiting to eat we had some real excitement. we got the call that they had found a liver for roger. he's been on the list for a long time so we were excited to send him off to the hospital.

12/25 - santa came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

opened gifts for a while. then went to the longs for our annual christmas brunch.

before we left i called annie to check on roger and found out that due to complications he didn't get the liver. he's okay and is still on the list but this just wasn't his liver.

after brunch and a hair dressing session with my stylist, allison, we went home and i took a nice long nap.

12/26 - usually mom and i spend the day after christmas making returns and buying many more clothes and shoes but not this year. this year i went to the gym with dad and worked out, then we had an early-ish family dinner before blake and i took off for the airport.

12/27 - the one day i had to work between 12/22 and 1/2 and i didn't want to! i spent a good 7 hours at the office but had to head home as i was sick. yup caught a cold.

12/28 - woke up, used up a box of tissues in between sleeping and watching bad tv.

12/29 - woke up, used 1/2 a box of tissues in between sleeping and watching bad tv. i had big plans to go new years shopping and get a spray tan but instead i slept. yup.

12/30 - headed to chicago which is a whole other post or "holiday fun time part II"
