V-Day

This day has many meanings for many people. Each year I use this day to remember the love I have in my life (not the love I might be missing). It gives a better meaning to the day and makes me enjoy it that much more. Of course gifts on this day totally help! I received these from Lizzie today:

The plastic hearts surround the flowers. What a wonderful treat!

I was perturbed that the woman who works for me kept asking if I was sure they weren't from a man. She couldn't grasp why a woman would send another woman flowers and why I wasn't wishing they were from a man. She needs a Scripps crash course in independence! I get my happiness from me, not from a man (yes I'm singing Kelly Clarkson in my head right now - aren't you??).

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. There are so many types of love in this world and I'm so blessed to have so much of it surrounding me.
