First by plane then by train

Day 2 and we girls were off to Bayeux for the big wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're all up to date on day 1's activities right? If not refer to the last post please.

C, K and I met at the train station as they didn't have the good fortune to stay in my luxurious hotel. They had to suffer at the brand new Meridien Etoile Paris. Poor things. We quickly found our way to the first class car and positioned ourselves and all our luggage in a six seat compartment. We strategically placed our persons and luggage in the most uninviting manner. We then started speaking very loudly in English and blaring Britney Spears. Okay I made the last part up. We played Dave Matthews :)

The train ride was not the most pleasant for me. I was fortunate enough to suffer from a slight hangover, motion sickness and jet lag all at the same time. On top of my engaging demeanor I was looking fan-freaking-tabulous!

C took fabulous care of me (and both my chins)

Meanwhile K practiced her... lounging?

I should share that as we were sprawled out in similar fashions to K we had more than one older gentleman pass the window and stare and then pass again.

Roni and Benoit picked us up with a car large enough for all our luggage - thank goodness! We headed into town for lunch... in the rain. Yes it was raining in Normandy. Lots of rain.

But the rain couldn't stop a lovely lunch together.

B & R dropped us at the chateau while they continued their errands. So while they drove around in the rain C, K and I showered, rested and enjoyed our little French paradise. Yes we did feel guilty.
(French Paradise)

I'll leave the rehearsal for the next post.

  3. Picture stealing = all the cool kids are doing it.

Also, this trip kinda sounds make-believe. There's no way you were chillin in a Normandy chateau, right? Just pretend life?

    My goodness.
