Update

The temperature in Santa Monica dropped significantly this afternoon. It went from almost 100 degrees (crazy!!) to probably about 80 within an hour. The winds have shifted here and are coming off the ocean. Better weather conditions for the fires (cooler air) but it sounds like the new winds are pushing the fires in new directions. Good news is that it's getting cooler!

    im glad it's getting cooler. that must make it a little easier to sleep at least! it turned cold here finally. but i wasnt really prepared. i should have dressed warmer today. oops.
