While the rainy season did just start we have been informed that we are in the middle of Tropial Storm Alma. So, while yes we are in the rain forest during rainy season there is an abnormal amount of rain due to the storm. Cr-a-azy!

Hurricane Arthur
We were told in Tikal that it was a tropical storm named Alma that was causing our chaotic weather. When we finally returned to Guatemala City last night (after 3-4 hour delays at the airport) we found that our little tropical storm turned into Hurricane Arthur. Blake snatched this photo off the internet yesterday while we were in Tikal. We had just finished a zip line tour through the jungle. In the rain. In the pouring rain. We are an adventurous sort.
