Important Questions About Life

This is from my faux sister Lisa in Folsom. Allison is the older of the two girls (almost 4 1/2), Anna is the younger (turns 2 the end of this month). Hope it you enjoy it as much as I did.

Tonight after soccer Allison was having second dinner with Bill and I and she said the following “I can’t wait for you to be a grandma and grandpa.” Boy are we starting early. She wanted to know who she was going to marry and if she would get married before Anna. Being first is really important. We told her it can take a long time to find the right person and Anna could find her someone first. She then said Anna and her could share a person. We told her that doesn’t work well and that they are better off finding their own people. After that she decided that she would just have Anna as her friend and live with her. Then the conversation turned to death and how she didn’t know how people die. She said she didn’t want to die because she would really miss Disneyland. Granny Annie just babysat last night… We told her that most people haven’t been to Disneyland as many times as she has is their whole lives and that she will get to go many more times. Just so you know we told her that everybody dies someday, but that if she is healthy, takes care of her body, listens to her doctors, and is safe (helmets, listening to parents, etc) she will be ok. She has been really focused on death since Bill’s boss died in January and she is also concerned about Uncle Roger. Then, I think, on a happier note, the conversation turned to wanting to drive. She said that if she read the instructions she could know how to drive. We told her that even Hannah “Kimm’s Daughter” and Autumn “Gwen’s daughter” weren’t old enough to drive yet. I told her that if she was good she could drive when she was 16.
