Sarah Cooks

Leslie and devon made yummy brussel sprouts during their time in SF (vs. their stealth trip to OK). While at the farmer's market on Sunday I picked some up to try their recipe.

I washed them.

Cut off the bottoms.

Peeled off the icky leaves.

Placed them on the pan.

Drizzled a little ExtraVirginOliveOil.

Added the course salt.

Added the cracked pepper.

Popped into the oven at 425 for 20 minutes and got this...

not exactly what leslie and devon got...

  1. Hmmm...looks a little overdone, no? eep, sorry! i left the stems on and didn't really worry about peeling leaves (they were a good batch). drizzled the olive oil directly in the bag and shook it up before dumping them onto the pan. salt+pepper was the same.

i don't know what went wrong! maybe too much time for your oven and maybe your sprouts were nice and small instead of my costco size ones? sad face. were they ok to eat anyway?

  2. only 1 was edible of the whole bunch. due to severe allergy attack i missed the burning brussel sprout smell invading my apartment.

  3. Try cooking them for less time, just keep checking them and take them out when they look like Leslie's. BTW, she totally did not make those when dev was in town, it was a decoy post!
