Hiking in the Wilderness

lil' d wants to know what I've been up to these past few weeks. Updates to come.

Kings Canyon, CA 9/19 - 9/21/08

So I went hiking. Apparently it's really bizarre to most people that I went hiking. I usually do a trip once a year to hike somewhere. I try to meet my Dad for these trips around CA. My Dad is in kick ass shape and always has been so he usually kicks my ass on these hikes. We do NOT camp. We sleep in hotels and hike during the day.

This year's hiking event was inspired by a trip to CA by Mom's cousins. The Rogers (Ann and Barry) have a new RV, Harvey the RV to be more exact. The Jesters (Francis and Richard) decided to drive out and join in the fun. The Jester kids (Matthew and Emily) couldn't miss the fun so they flew into LA for the occasion.

We drove into Kings Canyon Friday night where the parents were waiting with food from the snack bar (no restaurant at our lodging only a snack bar). Saturday we hiked. Sunday we hiked a big rock called something I forgot. We drove through a nice forest fire. Okay the fire wasn't so nice but we liked the fire fighters. Wow. I think that explains it.
