Corteo

Thursday night the entire office (or just about) headed down to the Orange County Fair Grounds for the Orange County premiere of Corteo. Cirque used to be a client of ours and our CEO is still close with them. Somehow we each had two tickets to the big show. I attended with John John since it was in his back yard. This was my second Cirque performance and it was a good as the first one. One of the first parts of the performance was women swinging on chandeliers. Let me just say I want to do that! It was absolutely amazing. They were hanging on by their necks at one point. Crazy!!

There were two little people in the performance and for some reason they totally freaked me out. Not sure if it was the woman's high pitched voice, the way they seemed to play children and adults at different parts, or some deep seeded fear of short people. Somehow I think it was the way they were dressed up. Not sure. My coworkers wanted to take them home because they were so cute. Weird.

We were also invited to a reception after the show for the cast and crew. Unfortunately by the time the show was over and we were in the party tent I'd turned into a pumpkin. In fact I think everyone I worked with turned into a pumpkin shortly after the show. I knew we were in bad shape because there was plenty of free booze and we all declined it. It takes an awful lot for our group to turn down free booze!
