Friday night I had free tickets to the Lakers/Timberwolves game. They were again from work and the ticekts were for a luxury box at Staples center. I'd never been in a luxury box at Staples and I was very pleased with the experience. Maxwell Kurtis agreed to accompany me to the big game. We made our way through Friday night rush hour traffic on the 10. Ridiculous how long it took us to travel the short distance. Anyways we made it there and inside, found the suite, and there were two other guys in the box. I had not yet met our hosts so it was a little awkward trying to figure out who the guys were. Turns out they worked for another agency so we had a dance off to mark our territory, okay just kiding. Checking to see if you're really reading :) We grabbed a glass of wine and sat down to watch the big game!
Seeing as the Lakers are my most favoritist of basketball teams I was in heaven. I mean I'm a sports fanatic so it was just heaven. Actually I do like live sports events for the people watchng. I never hae any clue what is going on in the game nor do I really care. Same went for this game. I really can't stand the Lakers and didn't even know there was a team called the Timberwolves so my focus was not on the game. I actually ended up seeing exactly none of the game. I chatted with people, drank wine, ate dinner, had a delicious carmel apple for dessert and just had the best time. I did miss the people watching from so far away but the rest of the good stuff made up for it.
Unfortunately the Lakers won. Booooo.
i didnt realize you had free tickets. i thought that kurt had invited you to the game! this makes sense though. love the suites over there. never did go to a lakers game, but did go to the clippers games every once in awhile (always on free tickets). were the guys in the suite that you had a dance off with cute?!?! :)
ReplyDeleteoh no no no they weren't. there was a guy there with a lady who was uncomfortably friendly with me. totally creeped me out.
